As it can often be stressful trying to find the best hosting provider for your new website, I offer fast, secure and reliable hosting for your website. If you choose this package, I’ll set you up with as many professional business accounts, unlimited databases and free SSL certificate.

If you plan to regularly update information on your new website or even creating regular content, such as a blog, you will need a Content Management System (CMS) to do this. I can build a bespoke WordPress theme for your website, so your website won't be bloated with unnecessary WordPress plugins often seen in prebuilt themes.

I’m a freelance web designer and developer in Reading, UK. I offer a range of website design, development and SEO solutions for businesses, startups, charities and individuals. I have several years of experience working in many industries, ranging from the charity sector to web design agencies.

I have a genuine passion for web design and development, and in my spare time, I further my knowledge of best practice techniques, programming languages and digital marketing. I always commit myself entirely to projects and will, as a result, strive to achieve the best possible website for your business.

  • 1. Discuss

    The first step in the process is establishing your short and longer-term goals for your business and how your new website will help you reach these goals. It’s crucial that before any designs are drawn up or code written, that we’re clear on what you require from your new site.

    Now, you will decide whether or not to go ahead with the proposed project. If you’re happy to proceed, you will be required to pay an initial deposit (50%) upfront.

  • 2. Research

    The second stage involves researching your main competitors and establishing what they are doing well and aren’t doing so well. At this stage, we’ll build a strategy on how to best capitalise on this information and ensure your business can distinguish its self from the competition.

    Here, we will need to put ourselves in the shoes of your ‘average client and map their user journey. This is a vital stage that ensures your website is designed and built according to your target audience.

  • 3. Wireframes & content

    It’s during the third stage that we decide on colour schemes, layout and a sitemap for your new site. If they’re needed, I will also create wireframes for the key pages on your website, helping you to get a feel for how the site will end up looking.

    To progress to the next stage, you will need to send over the finalised copy for your site. As I’m not a copywriter, I won't be able to do this for you, so it’s up to you to get this done. You can either write the content yourself or hire a professional copywriter to do this.

  • 4. Design

    At the fourth stage, I’ll begin on creating the final designs for your new site. All designs are created using professional design software, where you will be invited to view the progress in real-time and be able to provide feedback.

    By the end of this stage, you’ll have a pretty good idea on how your new website will look on desktop, tablet and mobile devices. Once you’ve confirmed you’re happy with the final designs we’ll proceed to the penultimate stage.

  • 5. Build

    Only now, at the fifth stage will I begin to code your website from scratch. The length of this stage will depend entirely on the scale of the build, the more complex your site, the longer this will take.

    Throughout this process, I will optimise all pages for SEO and test the entire site to ensure consistency across browsers and devices. I will also ensure that all of the code is clean and maintainable so to reduce headaches down the line when you need to update your website.

  • 6. Go live

    Congratulations you’ve made it to the sixth and final stage. Now your website has been built, I will make the final checks to ensure everything is working before making the site live. At this stage, I will set up Google Analytics and any other cookies that you require to track the performance of your site.

    Now your site is completed, you will be required to pay the remaining 50% of the agreed final quote. Once this payment has been made I will make your site live and hand over ownership to you. Enjoy your new site!

You shouldn’t have to become a web developer to understand what makes an excellent website for your business.

That’s why I follow a simple six-step process when building sites, allowing you to understand the work involved at each stage and so you’re always kept in the loop.
